Cookie and Similar Technologies Policy

What this policy covers
This policy explains how the Kintally web app uses cookies and similar browser technology, including local storage. The mobile apps use device storage instead of browser cookies.
Necessary storage
Kintally needs some browser storage to work at all. It keeps you signed in and refreshes your session, and it remembers your privacy choices. None of this is used for advertising.
Optional storage and measurement
Your theme preference makes the app nicer to look at. Vercel Speed Insights helps us understand how the site performs, and only runs once you consent to analytics. Kintally doesn't use advertising or cross-site marketing cookies.
What we use
Supabase authentication session
Technology: Browser local storage (not an HttpOnly cookie)
Purpose: Keeps you signed in securely by storing your access and refresh session.
Duration: Until you sign out, your session expires, or your browser data is cleared

Purpose: Remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional technology.
Duration: Until you reset it, the policy changes, or your browser data is cleared

Manage or withdraw consent
You can reject optional technology and keep using every core Kintally feature. Reopen Cookie preferences anytime to change your mind. You can also clear your browser's site data, though that may sign you out and reset your saved preferences.
Who we work with
Supabase handles authentication and the app's infrastructure. Vercel hosts the site and, once you consent to analytics, runs Speed Insights. Google is involved when you sign in with Google, under its own privacy terms.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy if our technology or legal obligations change. When a change affects your consent in a meaningful way, we'll update the effective date and ask again.
